Job Summary:
Press operator is responsible for running presses per Work Instructions. This position will load, unload, trim, and stack rubber slabs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Follow Work Instructions
• Correctly load materials into presses
• Unload material from presses
• Trim flash from edge of tile
• Stack tile according to WI
Essential Functions:
• Ability to maintain work area cleanliness and general housekeeping regarding press area
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions in regard to SOP's, WI's, Management instructions, and other job-related instructions
• Basic communication skills required
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to always operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize, multi-task and work under deadlines
• Ability to perform manual tasks under varying temperatures conditions usually in an indoor manufacturing environment
• Ability to read weigh scales
• Ability to perceive colors and shading
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Semi-moderate to moderate physical activity
• Including but not limited to sitting, standing, hand/arm manipulation, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, seeing, touching/feeling, hearing, and crouching
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
