About the Role: As a Family Start WhÄnau Worker, you will walk alongside families with young children, supporting them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Youāll build trusting relationships, provide practical support, and connect whÄnau with services that promote safety, wellbeing, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
⢠Deliver the Family Start programme through regular home visits
⢠Support parents and caregivers to strengthen parenting skills and confidence
⢠Work collaboratively with other services to ensure holistic support
⢠Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and evaluation
⢠Uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all aspects of your work
What Weāre Looking For:
⢠A qualification in social work, early childhood education, or a related field (or working towards one)
⢠Experience working with whÄnau and tamariki in a culturally responsive way
⢠Strong communication and relationship-building skills
⢠Knowledge of child development and family dynamics
⢠A full NZ driverās licence
