This skilled employee may be responsible for, but not limited to, all office duties, including verifying all accepted payers, obtaining authorization for all payers that auth is required for, charting, phone calls and patient scheduling. These support professionals are typically the first point of contact with intake/clinical staff, greeting them and taking initial information, which may include contact, referral, and insurance information.
