About this role
The First Operator is responsible for leading and coordinating production activities on their assigned line to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing of glass products. This role acts as the primary point of accountability on shift, ensuring equipment is operating effectively, quality standards are met, and team members are aligned with production goals. The First Operator plays a critical role in troubleshooting issues, supporting continuous improvement efforts through collaboration with Process Improvers, and maintaining workflow to meet customer and operational demands. This position is hands-on and requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and decision-making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
