As a member of our hospitality team, the primary role of a Staff Accountant is to maintain accurate financial records and ensure the smooth processing of payments by verifying and coding invoices, reconciling statements, and managing vendor relationships. A crucial part of this role is to maintain vendor relationships by addressing inquiries and negotiating extended terms when necessary. The Staff Accountant is to verify all deposits listed on the drop sheet and securely store them in the drop safe. This role requires carefully examining deposits to ensure their accuracy and preparing consolidated deposits for prompt transfer to the bank.
