About this role
Asset Planning provides the cost-effective engineering solutions needed for upgrading, expanding, repairing, maintaining and reliably operating the power system assets safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. This job entails analyzing Oncor’s transmission system using computer simulation to determine the system’s performance under both existing and expected future conditions. Projected performance is compared to Reliability Standards established by the North America Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) to ensure proper operation. If performance is unacceptable, construction projects to upgrade the system or changes in operation are developed and proposed to management for approval.
