Meadowbrook Church is currently seeking to hire a full-time Facilities Maintenance Director. This individual should be an active and dedicated Christian who is, or willing to be a member of Meadowbrook Church. A person who will hold in confidence matters of information that may be sensitive to the well-being of others. A person committed to excellence in their responsibilities.
General Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Pastor of Operations, you play a vital role in overseeing the Facilities Maintenance Team during the week and service times. You will work with others who are committed to fostering a welcoming, safe, and well-kept campus experience for our church families, MBA & SEU students, vendors, and contractors.
Job Summary:
• Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance and repair tasks for the church and academy buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues promptly.
• Coordinate with vendors for inspections and maintenance-related items.
• Ensure that all safety and security systems, including fire alarms and emergency exits, are functioning correctly.
• HVAC systems knowledge.
• Work closely with the Facilities Coordinator and the Facilities Project Director for budget management.
• Lead, manage, and work alongside the Maintenance Team daily.
• Collaborate with staff for small groups, event organizations, and preparedness.
• Stay informed and ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and permits.
• Maintain open and clear communication with church leadership and staff regarding maintenance of facility-related matters.
• Excellent phone and communication abilities for conducting follow-up calls and communicating with staff, vendors, and congregants.
• High level of proficiency in all elements of Microsoft Office 365, Church Community Builder, and any other software used in support of staff operations.
• Confer with other staff members where common knowledge and inputs are beneficial for harmonious relationships and work efficiency.
• Work completed on time with little or no supervision.
• Have a heart to serve both the team and the congregation.
Schedule:
• Sunday 6:30am – 2:30pm. Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5pm, respond to emergencies during off hours.
• Must be willing to adapt schedule to work some nights and longer days in busy seasons, and all-staff events, including Heart of a Woman, Men’s Night, etc.
Qualifications/Expectations:
• Ability to: lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb stairs, climb ladders, work at elevated heights, work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and vehicles.
