The Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at The Stables at Mortonhall, a busy and well-established bar and restaurant in Edinburgh.
You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, taking ownership of your section and contributing to a consistent, high-quality food offering. This is a hands-on role suited to a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering well-executed dishes during service.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Running your own section during prep and service
• Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
• Supporting daily kitchen operations in a high-volume environment
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure smooth service
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
• Contributing ideas to improve dishes and efficiency

The Stables at Mortonhall is a popular dining destination located within the Mortonhall Estate, serving a broad customer base including families, visitors, and regular locals. The kitchen delivers a consistent, quality-led menu with a focus on approachable dishes.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience working as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis ready to step up
• Confident running a section in a busy kitchen
• Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance
• Strong organisation and time management
• A team-focused attitude with a professional work ethic
