🌿 We're Hiring: Family Support Specialist 🌿 Join our team and make a difference in the lives of local families!
As a Family Support Specialist with our Healthy Families program, you'll walk alongside parents during their child's earliest years—helping them build strong foundations for their family's future. Using the Healthy Families America model and Growing Great Kids curriculum, you'll provide in-home visits that offer encouragement, education, and practical support for up to three years.
🔸 Build trusting, long-term relationships with families 🔸 Coach parents to strengthen their home environment and support systems 🔸 Provide developmental screenings and connect families with needed resources 🔸 Help parents set goals and celebrate milestones 🔸 Work closely with a supportive team through regular training and reflective supervision 🔸 Spanish-English bilingual abilities are preferred to help us better serve the diverse families in our communities
This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, organized, and passionate about supporting families in our community. Some travel, evening, or weekend work may be required to meet family needs.
In addition to family support services, bilingual staff may have opportunities to assist with communication in clinical settings, support interpretation for Spanish-speaking clients, and help translate documents and educational materials to improve access to services across our district.
📍 Location: Work in the office at 327 N 8th Avenue in Burwell and travel throughout the Loup Basin district to homes. 🕒 Hours: Full-time, with flexibility to meet families where they are.
