Essential Job Responsibilities
• Work closely with community members to understand their needs and perspectives.
• Identify and analyze potential hazards and vulnerabilities within the community through hazard mapping of the target areas
• Facilitate the creation of Disaster Risk Management (DRM) plans that are community-led and tailored to local contexts.
• Encourage active participation from all community sectors, including marginalized groups.
• Collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for DRM plans.
• Oversee the application process for Community-Led Disaster Risk Management (CLDRM) block grants.
• Ensure that grant funds are used effectively and transparently for DRM activities.
• Assist communities in executing their DRM actions and using committee kits effectively.
• Create and organize Training of Trainers (ToT) programs for staff and community leaders.
• Lead training sessions to build capacity in facilitating CLDRM.
• Assess the impact of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
• Encourage ongoing learning and capacity building for staff and community members involved in DRM.

Program coordination and management
• Maintain and coordinate reporting and documentation with the Program Manager and other relevant team members.
• Timely preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and interim reports and share with the program manager that will then inform the crafting of the program narrative report.
