Assistant Clinical Manager - Brook Lane - Full Time - Nightshift 72 hrs. biweekly - 7p-7:30a
Join our Brook Lane team as an Assistant Clinical Manager and help lead a dedicated team of healthcare professionals focused on delivering exceptional patient care. Our acute psychiatric hospital provides the highest level of care in a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. We serve children, adolescents, and adults in age-appropriate units, offering individual rooms and 24-hour nursing support. Patients typically stay 9–11 days, receiving intensive treatment and crisis stabilization from our multi-disciplinary team.
About the Role:
As an Assistant Clinical Manager, you'll provide hands-on clinical leadership, supporting the Clinical Manager in the day-to-day operations of the unit. You will ensure high-quality patient care, support team development, and promote a positive and safe work environment. This role includes leadership during off shifts and in the Clinical Manager's absence.
What You'll Do:
• Support daily unit operations and act as a leader on off shifts or when the Clinical Manager is unavailable.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other departments to enhance patient care and team performance.
• Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations.
• Assist in quality and safety initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Foster professional development by mentoring staff and working with Clinical Educators on training needs.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, clinical guidelines, and organizational policies.
What We're Looking For:
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience (5 years preferred). Prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current RN license in Maryland, or compact license with multi-state privilege.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, or other unit-specific certifications within 6 months.
• Professional certification in specialty area preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams, coach for performance, and support accountability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
