About this role
Maintains confidentiality at all times to protect patient’s privacy and maintains HIPAA privacy and security regulations. Enters and retrieves data and related information from computer database (Paragon); prepares statistics and other information in report form for use by appropriate parties. Verifies accuracy of information to ensure appropriate patient care decisions. Functions as a unit resource person for Paragon. Files, assembles, and retrieves records from cabinets and drawers; maintains proper location of all information to ensure accessibility to nursing staff, physicians, ancillary services, volunteers, patients and visitors.
