What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. In this role, you will support both the China AI Research and Video Teams, ensuring smooth execution of complex, multi-team programs and helping to shape the strategic direction of these high-growth product areas.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
Monitor and track delivery status across multiple teams and projectsPromote accountability towards sustainable program deliverySupport engineering leads in maintaining and driving good delivery techniques during (& after) goal planning - including milestones shaping/scoping, prioritisation efforts, estimations, capacity planning.Manage open issues relating to program deliveryAssess and manage program risksManage dependencies across teams and groupsFacilitate effective, timely and transparent team decision making practicesEnsure an appropriate degree of consistency in planning, documentation and core practices across teams to ensure meaningful velocity and promote our ability to scale how teams work across CanvaFacilitate continual improvement rituals to build the effectiveness of product development and engineering teamsBuild a culture and environment to achieve excellence and innovationBuild partnerships with cross-functional teams to influence decisions, drive alignment and prioritizationPartner with Group Leadership to facilitate the delivery of Canva’s highest priority, complex and multi-disciplinary initiatives You're probably a match if
You have a minimum of 5 years TPM experience at a SaaS companyYou have experience working in AI/ LLM related domain (e.g. large language model infra, GPU understanding, first party vs third party models). Specific experience in AI Research is desirableYou have deep understanding of Agile product development methodologiesYou are knowledgeable in technical concepts, systems and practicesYou have experience working with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to deliver key company initiativesYou are comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with shifting prioritiesYou are a natural communicator who leads through influence, not authorityYou have a love for navigating complexity and tackling ambiguous problems You are process-oriented but flexible in approachYou are motivated to provide an inclusive and psychologically safe environment for our diverse team to collaborate together, in a timely fashion, towards shared goalsYou have introspective focus to continually improve the effectiveness of Canva’s teamsYou are dedicated to personal growth and improving in your craft as a TPM You demonstrated leadership capability to ensure clarity, alignment and accountability to achieve our crazy big goalsYou have the ability to think strategically but also able to make crazy big goals happen.
