A respected structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection company is looking to fill a newly created role for Estimating & Client Development.
This position is designed to expand the company’s growth capacity while working alongside an established Chief Estimator who has built long-standing contractor relationships and a strong project pipeline over more than two decades.
This role blends hands-on estimating, client relationship management, and project development. It is not a traditional high-pressure sales position. Success comes from credibility, follow-through, and building strong industry relationships over time.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
• Estimating structural & miscellaneous steel scopes
• Performing take-offs, pricing, and bid preparation
• Writing clear, professional proposals
• Proactively following up on bids
• Negotiating scope, pricing and project terms
• Closing projects and maintaining client relationships
• Building and maintaining contractor and client relationships
• Developing and managing a long-term prospect/project pipeline
• Representing the company in meetings, site visits, and industry interactions
This is a dynamic role requires comfort moving between:
• Estimating / Proposal Development (40%)
• Bid Follow-Up / Negotiation / Closing (25%)
• Client Relationship & Industry Presence (20%)
• Pipeline / Future Opportunities (15%)

Ideal Background
