Key Responsibilities
• Safely move ducks following all Duck Well-Being, Care, and Handling Guidelines (training and certification provided).
• Assist with unloading market-age duck trailers and properly handling fatigued birds using totes or carts.
• Transfer ducks from barns to the round room and from the round room to the belt.
• Wash and disinfect Market Age Duck trucks and trailers promptly and thoroughly.
• Report equipment issues, air quality concerns, or safety hazards immediately to the Supervisor or Lead.
• Support the Holding House Manager by identifying and helping correct issues involving efficiency, quality, or safety.
• Maintain excellent facility cleanliness and perform routine housekeeping.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English (bilingual candidates encouraged to apply).
• Previous poultry or agricultural experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely handle live poultry up to 10 lbs.
• Comfortable with bending, twisting, and moderate ladder climbing.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others at all levels.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools preferred.
• Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
