About this role
What You'll Do:
• Care and supervision of children, most of whom are ages 3 months to 4 years
• Appropriately identify time for hands-on play with children versus assisting parents upon arrival and departure
• Assist children with snack time
• Greet parents
• Provide quality customer service to external and internal customers
• Ensure defined work performance competencies and customer service standards are being met
• To act as role model within our department
• Assist with the organization, cleaning and maintenance of the classroom including the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, toys and equipment
• To attend all volunteer meetings and training
• Assist with the set-up and take-down of the classroom at the beginning and end of the school year
What You'll Need:
• Previous experience in childcare or related field preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning and maintenance procedures for classroom supplies, toys, and equipment
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work/play environment
• Willingness to attend volunteer meetings and training sessions
• Dedication to providing high-quality customer service to both external and internal stakeholders
• Police Information Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Search
