Job Summary: The Security Screening Specialist is responsible for the Front Lobby/Entrance logging in, identifying all persons and ensuring they are not in possession of any weapons, guns, knives, etc., (contraband) prior to entering the facility. Law Enforcement Officers will be instructed to secure their weapons, guns, knives, etc., outside the facility. This position is responsible for determining the purpose of the visit (attorney, inmate visit, religious volunteer, contracting Law enforcement, agency representative, inmate family, etc.) and to document the visit in the appropriate log. This job does not require post certification and is a non-inmate contact position.
