About this role
LaForce is looking for a skilled Welder to join our Metal Frame Production team. In this role, you'll be responsible for fabricating and assembling hollow metal door frames using MIG welding and a variety of hand and power tools. Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 3:00pm; Friday, 6:30am - 12:30pm
Pay: $20/hr. and up based on experience.
What You'll Do:
• Weld, fit, and assemble light-gauge sheet metal frames based on shop drawings and work orders.
• Grind and prep welds to meet quality and finish standards.
• Use MIG welding equipment, plasma cutters, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools.
• Move materials using forklifts and carts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
What You Bring:
• Experience in MIG welding (GMAW) and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production instructions.
• Comfortable with hand tools and material handling.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification (we'll train).
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working with tools and equipment on your feet all day.
