About this role
We’re seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading robotics and automation programme in the aerospace sector. The role will involve electrical layout design, supporting the development of robotic systems, jigs, and tools used in advanced manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and schematics for robotic systemsSupport the design and integration of control cabinets and electrical assembliesCollaborate with mechanical and automation engineers to ensure system compatibilityParticipate in prototype builds, testing, and de-risking activitiesProduce technical documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs) Mandatory Skills & Experience
Proven aerospace industry backgroundHands-on robotics or automation experience Strong skills in electrical design and layoutProficiency with electrical CAD tools (e.g. EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar)2–4 years’ experience in electrical or control system designUnderstanding of jigs and tools used in aerospace manufacturingDesirable
Knowledge of PLC systems and industrial control hardwareExperience supporting prototype and test environmentsStrong problem-solving and cross-discipline communication skills Why join us?
