About this role
We’re hiring a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to support complex embedded and hardware systems within high-integrity defence programmes. You’ll be working on challenging, long-lifecycle projects involving critical electronic designs, simulation, and integration in marine defence environments.
You’ll be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from schematic capture to PCB layout and system validation, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and compliant designs.
What you’ll be doing
Designing analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuitsCreating schematics and PCB layouts using Altium DesignerSimulating circuits using LTspice for performance and compliance analysisIntegrating Microchip microcontrollers and supporting FPGA-based solutionsValidating and debugging boards at prototype and system levelEMC TestingWorking alongside systems, mechanical, and layout engineersSupporting structured documentation and peer reviews What we’re looking for
10+ years’ experience in electronics design or embedded hardware engineeringProficiency in Altium Designer and LTspiceExperience working with microcontrollers (Microchip) and FPGA developmentBackground in high-integrity environments such as defence, aerospace, or marineUnderstanding of mission-critical hardware development standardsMust be eligible for SC clearance – UKEO SC or prior defence projects preferred Why join us?
