About this role
The Transit Mechanic Apprenticeship position is non-represented and does not guarantee a position in the bargaining unit. The position is a combination of on-the-job (OJT) and related classroom instruction at a designated higher education learning center. The apprentice will; only work under the supervision of senior level classification mechanic/technician and learn the practical and theoretical aspects of a highly skilled occupation. The position will follow a structured plan of instructional modules which must be completed by passing established competency testing.
