Full Time (11.00 am - 7.00 pm)Potential Saturday, Sunday and public holiday rosters are available on requestEntry-level position with great opportunity for career advancementRecent graduates with university/TAFE lab experience encouraged to applyThe Laboratory Technician is responsible for assisting the laboratory function by ensuring all samples are appropriately prepared and analysed in a timely manner while assisting with various other laboratory duties, to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements. Reporting to the Team Leader, the role will focus on the following duties:
Sample receipt and documentationSample weighing and allocationProcessing of food samples for chemical and microbiological analysisPerformance of equipment quality control and maintenanceAssisting sample reception staff when requiredAssisting with laboratory’s store management system. Certificate / Diploma in Laboratory Techniques; or equivalent qualification; or significant laboratory experience.
