About this role

Position Summary

The PRN House Manager provides flexible residential coverage and support within Ava Health’s residential programming. This position helps maintain a safe, structured, and supportive living environment for residents while supporting continuity of operations across residential settings.

PRN House Managers may provide scheduled coverage, bridging coverage between shifts, call-out support, and supplemental staffing support based on operational need.

This role is designed as a flexible pool position with a maximum expectation of:

• Up to two (2) twelve-hour shifts per week

• Occasional shorter bridging shifts, typically four (4) hours in duration

Hours are not guaranteed and are scheduled based on program need and staff availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and monitoring of residents to ensure compliance with program rules and house guidelines

• Facilitate daily house routines, including meals, chores, curfew compliance, and community activities

• Support residents through positive engagement, structure, and professional relationship-building

• Conduct routine house checks and room inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety standards

• Communicate resident concerns, incidents, and operational issues promptly to clinical leadership and supervisors

• Assist residents with accessing resources and support services as appropriate

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, logs, and shift communication

• Support continuity of care and operational stability during staffing transitions, schedule gaps, or increased program need

• Basic understanding of behavioral health, recovery support, and trauma-informed engagement

• Organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

• Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic residential environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in behavioral health, social services, or related fields preferred

• At least one (1) year of experience in residential services, behavioral health, recovery support, or related environments preferred

• Current BLS/CPR certification required

Additional Requirements

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining required certifications

• If in recovery, a minimum of 1 year of sustained sobriety is required

• Ability to work flexible scheduling based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Ability to successfully function both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
