About this role
• Confirm job order procedures and instructions relating to machine operations. • Set up and operate CNC Machines and/or production equipment; strictly following instructions, job specifications and blueprints. • Read blueprints accurately to properly set up machinery. • Operate hand tools as necessary to set up tools in the correct machine. • Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions. • Identify and stamp parts for traceability. • Inspect products per print. • Keep machine clean, perform minor maintenance as needed, and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel. • Must be willing to purchase required tools, which must pass certification criteria.
• Must be able to complete the above tasks under close supervision.
• Perform entry level CNC machining processes with assistance.
• Skills to be developed by repeating operations and on the job training.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blue prints.
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Able to compute rate, ratio and percent.
• Other duties as assigned.
