About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Robotics/Automation Engineer with a strong background in pharmaceutical laboratory experience to join a growing team at a PSS client site. This role focuses on building, operating, and maintaining automated liquid handling and robotic platforms to support high-throughput sample analysis in a GXP-compliant environment for clinical and bioanalytical testing. This is a brand new lab so flexibility in day-to-day tasks will be required.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to new lab setup, including routine and non-routine tasks beyond the original job scope.Integrate automation into pharmaceutical workflows to enhance efficiency and compliance.Participate in computer system validation for automated liquid handlers, plate readers, Luminex, and PCR systems.Operate and maintain advanced robotic systems (e.g., Tecan, Hamilton, Biomek) and related instruments.Perform routine cleaning, calibration, and verification of automated platforms, including daily startup/shutdown.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.Document all activities in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) and LIMS for full traceability.Cross-train to support other functions such as Sample Management, Ligand-Binding Assays, PCR Assays, and Compliance. Basic Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field with at least 1–2 years of experience.Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical laboratories.At least 1 year operating and troubleshooting automated liquid handlers (Tecan, Hamilton, Biomek).Familiarity with PCR-based assays.Authorization to work in the country without restriction or sponsorship.Ability to work safely with potentially infectious samples and hazardous chemicals.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in GLP/GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environments.Familiarity with LIMS and other laboratory informatics tools.Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle and instrument validation.Experience with ligand-binding assays and bioanalytical workflows.
