Operate 20L stainless steel bioreactors and ensure smooth fermentation processes via DeltaV and DCU automation systems for efficient bioreactor controlOperate Ambr250 and ensure smooth fermentation processesEquipment troubleshootingWrite and develop SOPsSupport scale down projects of bioreactors for microbial culturesWork in a BSL-1 and BSL-2 level environmentUse biochemical analyzers (YSI, OD, pH, off-gas mass spec, RAMAN spectroscopy)Manage chemicals, supplies, inventory, and ensure safety regulation complianceStatistical data analysis and results/conclusion presentation
Off-shift work (nights/weekends) regularly needed to help support runs B.S. or M.S. in a scientific or engineering discipline that incorporates biology and chemistry coursework
Prior experience with Microbial cell culture/Fermentation is requiredPrior experience with good aseptic technique, working with BSL2 materialsAuthorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship This position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 9a.m. to 5 p.m with overtime as needed.
