About this role
Frontier Schools is seeking an anticipated Math Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. The starting salary for the current school year is $61,750 and is expected to increase for the 2026–27 school year, commensurate with experience and education.
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid Missouri teacher certificate for the appropriate level is preferred.
Responsibilities
• Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.
• Utilize various instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
• Assess the students' progress regularly and provide progress reports as required.
• Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
• Comply with all district policies, rules, and regulations.
• Develop classroom rules and maintain order in a fair and just manner.
• Be available to the students and parents for education-related purposes.
• Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and cooperatively with department heads.
• Participate in district and campus staff development.
• Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
• Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues.
• Prepare and submit lesson prep in a timely manner on the platform the school utilizes.
• Maintain a minimum number of grades in the grade book promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to organize special programs for assigned campus.
• Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone.
• Ability to analyze data.
• Ability to use effective public speaking skills and problem-solving skills.
