About Us
Franklin Vets is a proudly locally owned mixed animal practice with 15 clinics across South Auckland, North Waikato and the Thames–Coromandel districts.
All 22 of our owners actively work within the business, and we're proud to remain independent as members of IndieVets NZ and XLVets NZ. Our Papakura clinic is home to an experienced team of veterinarians, nurses and customer service professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and building lasting relationships with our clients. As a Cat Friendly Clinic and BESTPRACTICE accredited clinic, we're committed to delivering high-quality medicine and creating a low-stress experience for our feline patients. Working closely with our wider Franklin Vets network means you'll enjoy the support of a large practice while still feeling part of a close-knit team.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a varied companion animal caseload while working alongside experienced colleagues who genuinely enjoy sharing their knowledge.
You'll be joining a team that includes three veterinarians with ANZCVS Membership qualifications, giving you the opportunity to work alongside clinicians with advanced expertise and benefit from their knowledge and mentorship. The clinic also undertakes Service Dog work, offering the chance to be involved in a unique and rewarding area of practice that makes a meaningful difference to assistance dogs and the people who rely on them.
The role includes pro-rated rostered weekend days, some weekday shifts at our nearby Karaka satellite clinic, and occasional cover across our wider Franklin Vets network—providing the perfect balance of stability, variety, and connection within a supportive group of clinics.
