About this role
The Director, Inventory Planning is responsible for managing inventory for the Grocery department to maximize sales and profit. This person leads our Grocery inventory planning team, which works closely with purchasing across all categories. Daily responsibilities of the team include: managing open-to-buy, maintaining stock levels, allocating product, managing promotional inventory, warehouse inventory balancing, forecasting and financial planning, and category/item analysis. This position is responsible for planning and executing the future strategy which may include changes to processes, structure, systems, and capabilities needed to evolve current practices to support growth. This person will be a thought-leader and partner with cross functional teams to move the business forward.
