Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve a consistent product of menu items inclusive of specialty beverages maintaining Starbucks standards ensuring consistency in product.
• Clean and sanitize seating and work areas, utensils, and equipment during and at end of shifts
• Ensure workstations are constantly in compliance with Ministry of Health codes and company standard operating procedures.
• Accurately receive and relay guest orders ensuring each order is repeated to guest.
• Manage cash, credit and other charge transactions and ensure all transactions balance at end of shift.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items providing enticing and detailed descriptions to guests at every opportunity.
• Upsell outlet products and provide alternatives to 86'd items.
• Stock customer service stations with paper products and beverage preparation items.
• Set up and restock product displays maintaining a level of appeal at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training
• Minimum 2 years restaurant experience as a bus person, server or counter attendant
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skill
• Certified in or ability to pass TIPS training
• Food Handler's Certificate
• Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
