SUMMARY: ****The person in this position will be a working electrical mechanic that travels to railroad properties in assigned territory, SC/NC/TN region. Must be willing to work hands-on and travel**** (Locomotive Electrician Experience Required) The person in this position manages projects and employees in the maintenance of the locomotive or railcar fleet. He or she ensures that all G&W safety rules and practices for Mechanical Department employees are followed explicitly. This person manages the maintenance and repair of locomotives and railcars so that they meet FRA standards, while reducing life-cycle costs and increasing reliability and availability.
