About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our team in Machelen, Belgium. As an integral part of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Manage and maintain financial records, ensuring data integrity and accuracyPrepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecastsReconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerAssist in month-end and year-end closing processesCollaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide insightsImplement and maintain internal financial controls and proceduresParticipate in audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulationsIdentify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyAssist in budgeting and financial planning activitiesStay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practicesHR related tasks
Payroll supportMaintaining of employee master dataAdministration towards Social Security, Insurances, others Main competences:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent work experienceProficiency in accounting software, preferably SAP, ExactStrong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial reporting standards of IRFS and local GAP Belgium (preferably also NL)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially ExcelAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a teamExcellent time management and organizational skillsCPA certification or equivalent is preferredExperience with financial reporting and analysis is a plusKnowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) is beneficialExperience in process improvement initiatives is desirableLanguages:
