Managing of department PI
▪ disciplinary and technically lead of employees, ensure PI functions output on time in full
▪ lead PI team supporting technical growth path for full fill Hefei plant capacity increase
ESH
▪ issue procedures and work instructions, ensure implementation of measures, and maintain controls
▪ raise awareness, ensure regular ESH training and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties
▪ ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
▪ demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others
Product Industrialization
▪ Industrialize new products (Initial Specification Development)
▪ optimize manufacturing processes concerning costs and efficiency
▪ reduction of scrap
▪ improve cooperation with other departments (e.g. calender, mixing, laboratories)
▪ optimizing and industrializing of machines together with plant engineering
▪ coordination of supply for tooling for production (get drawings from central side and distribute to plant, orders)
▪ create and optimize curing specs
Material Industrialization
▪ Compound:
› create new compound recipes and mixing processes
› optimizing existing recipes concerning costs, quality and processability to reduce rework and compound scrap
› introduce alternative recipe components and evaluate cost-benefit relation
▪ Reinforcements:
› industrialize new cords, yarns, beads, wire, etc.
› support of raw material specifications in the plant
› cost reduction by evaluation of new suppliers
New Product Development
▪ lead new product industrialization projects locally including the coordination with central functions.
▪ Master plan follow up and pushing project members to deliver product to market on time.
▪ self motivate to shorten the time to market.
Networking and communication
▪ Support steady communication between central PI , R&D and local organization
▪ review the raw materials and compound recipes with the responsible central material PI in R&D to ensure conformity with the capabilities of the plant
▪ review the plant capabilities with the local related functions to enable introduction of new products
▪ support the Know - How exchange with other Continental plants and R&D as well
Education / Certification
Minimum Bachelor of mechanical or related science or engineering field.
Equivalent 5-years experience in tire industrialization field.
Professional Experience
(Variety of Functions, Variety of Business, General Management Experience)Mixing compounds, development of tires
Project and/or Process Experience
Experience in Project management, task forces, leading improvement projects
Leadership Experience
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
Intercultural / International Experience
Experience in international teams
