Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & CalculationIndependently calculate costs and performance metrics for funding projectsAnalyze planned values and reconcile them with eligible costs and funding plansDetermine cost components such as hourly rates for claiming personnel costExtract and validate data from systems (e.g., SAP, Excel) and coordinate with relevant departmentsApplication & CompliancePrepare and submit application documents for R&D funded projectsEnsure compliance with funding guidelines and internal approval processesHandle audits and prepare final reportsProject Tracking and ReportingRegularly update calculations and analyze deviationsProperly document all funding-related project informationPrepare regular internal as well as external reporting while keeping track of all relevant deadlinesStakeholder CoordinationAlign with internal departments, Controlling colleagues, and funding authorities throughout all phases of the projects (i.e. from proposal to post completion audits)Act as funding project administrator by coordinating all necessary funding related workstreamsGlobal R&D FundingBuild up transparency of all relevant R&D funding schemes (incl. tax incentives) used in the global R&D organization across locationsSupport in standardizing documentation approaches (e.g. time tracking)Non funding-related Controlling tasksSupport the global R&D Controlling team with location specific Controlling tasks Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldExcellent communication and coordination abilitiesExperience with the administration of public funded projects desiredPassion for analytical analysis and calculationsStrong curiosity and motivation to learn and work independently Proficiency in SAP and ExcelExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsIndependent & self-organized working styleHigh quality focus and customer orientationMotivated team-player, who loves to work in an international environmentBusiness fluent English language skills (written and spoken)Portuguese languages skills written and spoken are a plus ▪ Integration in a challenging and international work environment, featured by the existence of state-of-the-art technologies
