GENERAL SUMMARY The Assistant Director Nursing serves as the administrative resource lead within the department for interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures for the department. He/She will collaborate with the department Director of Nursing to direct and assist staff in problem resolution and daily department management of one of our two care units—the Norwalk Memorial Home (NMH) or our Transitional Care Unit (TCU). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assists in development, implementation and evaluation of ongoing service programs that ensure quality nursing and patient care consistent with the hospital mission.
