About this role
A Patent Assistant, under general supervision of department leadership, performs a variety of administrative duties for legal staff and paralegals, which may include, preparing correspondence of a confidential nature, arranging meetings and appointments, prioritizing mail, answering routine correspondence, opening matters, processing invoices and bills, preparing estimates, etc. Answers, screens, directs, and places telephone calls. Obtains and maintains a familiarity with legal terminology and procedures, and specifically patent terminology and procedure.
