Ways You Contribute:
• Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries.
• Action recruitment and onboarding activities including creating job requisitions/job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens, participating in interviews, presenting offers and facilitating offer negotiations.
• Own offboarding processes and applicable notices and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve employee technical and/or PTO issues in the HRIS system (UKG).
• Own the Work Anniversary Program by tracking, communicating, and purchasing gifts.
• Join and participate as the employer appointed lead of the Health & Safety Committee to ensure safety objectives and compliance is achieved.
• Prepare HR reports as requested.
• Update documents and communication platforms to support transparent company communication.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system in order to support the benefits and payroll administration process.
• Update employee benefits changes and respond to employee benefit questions.
• Update & launch employee surveys and compile preliminary data.
• Support employment compliance reporting by completing the Employment Equity Report as required.
• Maintain and update the HR SharePoint site.
• Coordinate culture and employee engagement initiatives.
• Assist with the development and implementation of policies.
• Provide administrative support to HR Director.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
• Other duties as required.

• Strong ethics in relation to business practices, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Great attention to detail and high accuracy with data entry.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience supporting in an administrative function with Human Resources exposure.
• Experience with technical and non-technical recruiting.
• Experience and/or certification as a JHSC member.
• Comfortable learning new technology.

• Highly adaptable, able to multi-task and pivot.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Qualifications:
• A post-secondary education in Human Resources, or related discipline.
• Experience with UKG or a similar HRIS.
Skills considered an asset:
• Familiarity with the Canada Labour Code for federally-regulated employers.
