About this role
Work in partnership with others as part of a structured inter-disciplinary team, within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) model, to provide social services that help clients access the resources they need to recover. Enhance the development of natural supports and coping skills, necessary to function as independently as possible in the community. The Recovery Specialist has experience as a recipient of mental health services and is willing to share his or her personal insight to benefit the team and their clients. Provide peer counseling to individuals, while promoting self-determination in the treatment process. Services are predominantly delivered to an adult population with serious mental illness, substance abuse, co-occurring and/or medically co-morbid diagnosis.
