Toddler Teacher (Ages 18–36 Months)
Position Summary We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This position works with children ages 18–36 months and is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, values hands-on learning experiences, and can provide consistent care while following program curriculum and licensing requirements.
Responsibilities
• Follow and implement established lesson plans and curriculum guidelines.
• Plan and provide engaging, developmentally appropriate learning opportunities that align with the planned curriculum.
• Foster a positive, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment.
• Supervise and care for up to 7 children independently.
• Support children's developmental milestones through play-based learning and meaningful interactions.
• Complete diaper changing and assist with potty training as needed.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
• Follow all child care licensing policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with families and team members regarding children's daily activities and progress.
• Observe and document children's development and classroom experiences as required.
• Assist with meal and snack routines while maintaining food safety standards.
Qualifications
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience working with children ages 18–36 months preferred.
• Ability to manage a classroom independently and maintain a structured environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to plan engaging activities that support early learning and development.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler's Permit.
• Must be comfortable with diaper changing and potty training responsibilities.
• Must meet all state licensing requirements for child care staff.
• Current Food Handlers Permit is required.
