POSITION:

D&H Group LLP is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to join our growing team of professionals. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong assurance and client management experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to take the next step in their career with a mid-sized public accounting firm.

As an Assurance Manager, you will lead engagement teams and manage a diverse client portfolio. You will work closely with partners to deliver high-quality assurance and advisory services while mentoring and developing junior team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage assurance engagements, including audit and review engagements

• Review financial statements and related disclosures to ensure compliance with ASPE, ASNPO and IFRS

• Oversee and review tax filing requirements and considerations that impact the results of the audit and review engagements

• Manage multiple client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business needs

• Oversee the work of staff and senior accountants, providing guidance, coaching, and formal performance feedback

• Ensure engagement deliverables are completed on time and in accordance with firm and professional standards

• Participate in the development of firm policies and internal processes to improve service delivery and efficiency

• Lead technical training sessions and contribute to the professional development of team members

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• CPA designation in good standing

• Minimum 4 years of experience with a focus on assurance services

• Proven leadership experience in managing audit/review teams and engagements

• Strong technical knowledge of ASPE and IFRS

• Working knowledge of Canadian income tax compliance for corporations and individuals

• Proficiency in assurance and tax software, including CaseWare, Taxprep, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
