PURPOSE: Performs general maintenance to assigned facilities. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Repairs broken light fixtures/ballasts, etc.
• Repairs electrical outlet fixtures.
• Changes breakers.
• Performs electrical repair on minor equipment.
• Repairs and/or replaces clogged or broken toilets and drains.
• Repairs and/or replaces sink fixtures.
• Performs minor furniture repair.
• Installs chart holders, magazine racks, etc.
• Assembles furniture and modular furniture.
• Repairs doors, cabinets, etc.
• Determines workstation specifications.
• Expresses familiarity with ergonomic standards.
• Moves furniture, modular furniture and equipment from one facility to another.
• Assists in clinic relocations and renovations.
• Manages warehouse supplies and furniture inventories.
• Checks Bridge Trak service requests daily.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Submits credit card receipts in a timely manner with proper documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Three years of experience in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry as well as general maintenance experience. Experience assembling modular furniture preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ● Must be able to work flexible hours. ● Familiar with ergonomic standards and applies standards when assembling furniture. ● Familiar with ADA standards. ● Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. ● Must be able to effectively communicate with all employees, contractors and vendors. ● Self-starter and team player. ● Must be organized and provide deliverables in support of project plans. ● Understand and follow oral and written instructions. ● Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks. ● Ability to work effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints. ● Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools. ● Must be able to travel to various work site locations on demand. ● Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for extended period of time. ● Must be comfortable and able to work on a ladder of 20 feet. ● Must be able to work independently without direct supervision. ● Advanced understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry. ● Must be customer service oriented. ● Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawing, sketches and work orders. ● Ability to observe legal and defensive driving practices while operating a vehicle. ● Computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows.
Certificate/License: Valid Texas Drivers License and excellent driving record (must present DPS record if hired)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6AM - 2PM, traveling to various clinic locations in a company car as needed. Rotating On-Call
