About this role
OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Oversee and perform all authorization activities for Intensive Outpatient and Residential programs at CHR. Responsible for reviewing documentation and using documentation to obtain initial and ongoing authorization for IOP and Residential stays. Responsible for tracking authorization needs, dates. Creates and maintains relationships with authorization staff at payer (insurance) companies. Liaison between IOP, Residential programs and insurers. Ensure that continued stays meet medical necessity expectations. Works with Insurance & Authorization Manager and Clinical Program Directors to ensure IOPs and Residentials operate within all relevant regulations.
