What You’ll Do as a Regional Sourcing Lead

As Sourcing Lead for Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of Primark’s sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and operational excellence within your regions. You’ll build and lead a high-impact team and manage a diverse supplier base to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and responsibly sourced products for a global retail brand. This role is pivotal in ensuring speed-to-market, margin delivery, and alignment with our sustainability and ethical trade commitments. You will work hand in hand with peers across other sourcing regions to ensure Primark’s sourcing strategy is delivered.

You will also serve as the regional face of the brand — liaising with key industry bodies, government agencies, and trade associations such as BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association), AEPC (Apparel Export Promotion Council), and JAAF (Joint Apparel Association Forum) to ensure alignment with local regulations, trade developments, and sustainability initiatives.

You will manage Primark’s Dhaka office operations and work in liaison with all teams within the Dhaka office. As a senior leader within Primark’s global sourcing team your role will be integral in ensuring that regional sourcing decisions reflect brand values, compliance to Primark’s code of conduct, customer expectations, and commercial goals.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Textiles, or related field.8+ years of sourcing experience in apparel, textiles, or consumer goods, with deep knowledge of South Asia markets.Proven track record in supplier management, cost negotiation, and operational delivery.Strong understanding of ethical sourcing, sustainability standards, and compliance frameworks. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Willingness to travel extensively across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.Proven track record of delivering strategy, managing over and under performance within supply bases and experience working within global retail brands.Proven ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level, with the ability to shift between high level thinking and day to day detail.Experience in creating a high-performance culture through target setting, performance evaluation, and employee engagement. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively coach, guide and mentor while ensure the team achieves its goals.Demonstrated ability in developing a culture that embraces innovation, and challenges existing paradigms without compromising business performance.Experience liaising with key industry bodies, government agencies, and trade associations managing regional offices and cross functional teams.The ability to effectively manage complex tasks and prioritise multiple projects and competing priorities and stakeholders.Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills.Does this sound like you?
