About this role
Vary by department, but a new employee can expect an array of tasks including but not limited to: - Work in varying temperatures with a high amount of repetitive lifting - Be around or operate mobile equipment - Read and follow all safety rules and regulations, standard operating procedures and quality standards - Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - Complete required paperwork and data entry which can be hardcopy or electronic - Wear provided personal protective equipment (hard hat, earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, arm guard sleeves, metatarsal safety shoes, etc) - Produce a quality product with attention to detail - Ensure orders maintain internal schedule to keep pace to be on time to customer - Follow directions from manager and functional lead to complete daily tasks - Contribute to continuous improvement activities as needed - Measure aluminum extrusions - Check material against orders and visually inspect incoming materials. - Function as saw helper - Identify scrap - Perform all quality checks as required - Use hand tools and other required equipment. - Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments as related to production. - All other duties as assigned.
