About this role
Liberia is looking for math teachers to strengthen instruction and learning outcomes for grades 9-12 Mathematics achievement remains a significant challenge nationwide. Many students struggle with foundational numeracy, algebra readiness, and problem-solving due to limited instructional materials, overcrowded classrooms, and a lack of trained math teachers. National assessments consistently reveal gaps in math proficiency, especially in rural areas. As Liberia’s government prioritizes improved workforce readiness, economic growth, and educational equity, strengthening the country’s math education has become essential. As a High School Math Teacher, you will collaborate with school staff to strengthen instructional techniques, build students’ confidence, and develop sustainable resources. Over time, your efforts will contribute to stronger student performance, raise pass rates, and expand access to quality math education.
