BAE Systems is a leading global defense, security, and aerospace company. Our Ordnance Systems is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team. As a BAE Construction Manager, you will play an integral role in ensuring the successful modernization and expansion of capabilities at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant. As the Construction Manager you will be responsible for the Construction execution of projects from input to the proposal to selection of the construction sub-contractor, to managing the performance of the sub-contractors for successful completion of the project(s) on time and within budget. As a BAE Construction Manager, you will have responsibility for a project from proposal stage through completion of commissioning as a critical member of the Integrated Project Team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from concept through closeout. Serve as the Project Team Member with primary responsibility for the relationship with the construction sub-contractors related to performance related to schedule and quality. Participate in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management beginning with the proposal stage. Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design intent, contract requirements, codes, and site standards. Review and approve contractor schedules, pay applications, change orders, and critical submittals. Coordinate procurement activities, including bid development, evaluation, and contract award. Track project progress against schedule and budget; identify issues early and implement corrective actions. Ensure construction standards and quality control measures are maintained throughout the project. Facilitate progress meetings and maintain comprehensive project documentation per contract requirements. Support checkout, commissioning, and close‑out activities, including punch lists, warranty tracking, and handover of documentation. Promote and enforce safety practices aligned with site expectations and regulatory requirements. Identify and communicate project risks, providing mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
