<p> </p> <p><strong>About your next</strong><strong> Challenge as a Software Engineer:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking an junior-level automation/application developer to join the Automation Group in the Marine Division. The selected candidate will be reliable, creative, and open-minded, and will contribute to all stages of automation development. </p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>What will you do: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Participating in every phase of the automation lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, coding, documentation, testing, and validation of the automation software. </li> <li>Participating in project meetings and supporting team members by addressing questions related to control-sequence logic.</li> <li>Supporting system acceptance activities with the customer.</li> <li>Participating in sea trials, which may include travel to various locations worldwide.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Required Skills and Experiences:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering.</li> <li>Experience in developing control-sequence algorithms using PLCs or other types of controllers.</li> <li>Experience with Siemens S7 Safety preferred.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with solid technical judgment.</li> <li>Strong English writing skills</li> <li>Bilingualism (French & English) required. The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong> Preferred Additionnal Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in MS Office; strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to adapt to a fast-paced agile environment and work effectively as part of a team.</li> <li>Results-driven approach with strong planning and organizational skills.</li> <li>Dependable, responsible, and committed to delivering high-quality work.</li> <li>Experience working with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Knowledge of naval and commercial certification standards and related processes.</li> <li>Experience using Atlassian Jira and MS Office tools.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be eligible for registration with the <strong>Controlled Goods Program</strong>;</li> <li>Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada <strong>“Reliability”</strong> status and <strong>Level 2 (Secret)</strong> security clearance.</li> <li>Must be eligible to meet the requirements for <strong>U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)</strong>.</li> </ul>
