Design, build and operate ingestion, transformation and orchestration pipelines, while applying modern data engineering patterns across batch, streaming and event-driven architectures where appropriate.</li> <li>Shape high quality, analytics ready data, develop and maintain curated data models aligned to business definitions, embedding strong data quality, lineage, governance and security practices.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement and engineering excellence, optimise ELT/ETL patterns, enhance scalability and cost efficiency, and proactively resolve complex data issues through root cause analysis and preventative controls.</li> <li>Deliver impact through stakeholder partnership, work closely with data owners, governance and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions that support reporting, analytics and decision making.</li> <li>Contribute to data modelling and semantic design, developing dimensional and analytical models that support reporting, self-service analytics and downstream consumption patterns.</li> <li>Apply technical data analysis and profiling techniques to understand source systems, validate transformations and support data discovery during solution design.</li> <li>Work across modern data platforms (e.g. Azure, Fabric and beyond), applying portable engineering patterns and avoiding vendor lock-in through well-designed abstractions and standards.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>About You</b></H2> </div><div><p>We are seeking a proactive and technically strong Data Engineer who brings a blend of hands-on engineering expertise, structured thinking and a passion for building reliable, high quality data solutions.</p> <p>You will be someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, takes ownership of outcomes and is comfortable working across both technical and business stakeholders to translate needs into practical, scalable solutions.</p> <p>Your approach will be grounded in strong engineering discipline, with a focus on data quality, governance and continuous improvement, and you will bring a mindset of accountability, curiosity and resilience when solving complex data challenges.</p> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Proven data engineering capability, including hands-on experience designing, building and operating modern data pipelines, strong SQL and Python skills with data modelling expertise (dimensional, analytical and lakehouse patterns), and the ability to perform technical data analysis to understand and shape source data.</li> <li>Strong focus on data quality and governance, the ability to embed validation, lineage, security and governance into solutions, ensuring data is trusted, auditable and fit for purpose.</li> <li>Engineering mindset with a focus on reliability and scale, experience delivering scalable, cost-effective solutions, diagnosing complex issues and continuously improving performance and resilience.</li> <li>Effective communicator and collaborator who is able to translate business requirements into clear engineering outcomes, working closely with stakeholders to deliver practical, value driven solutions.</li> <li>Strong understanding of data modelling principles, including dimensional modelling, normalisation trade-offs, and designing data structures for analytics, performance and usability.</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft Azure and Fabric, with broader exposure to platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks desirable, and the ability to apply core engineering principles across technologies rather than relying on platform-specific solutions.</li> <li>Ability to think analytically about data, interpret data patterns and anomalies, and work with stakeholders to refine definitions, metrics and data structures.</li> <li>Familiarity with DataOps and software engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD, automated testing and monitoring of data pipelines.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>How To Apply</b></H2> </div><div><p>Please apply online via our careers page before 03 August 2026.
