Working from Rockhampton, you’ll be part of a field-based team maintaining track infrastructure across remote areas including the lines between Emerald to Winton and Emerald to Clermont.</span></p> <p><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">As a Trackworker, you will carry out heavy manual tasks including sleeper replacement and general rail maintenance. This position is constantly in the field so you must be able to work in a variety of challenging weather conditions and high temperatures.</span><br><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> In this role you will:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Assist in the repair and maintenance of the railway track</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Perform outdoor labouring duties throughout the region (including flood repair and other emergency work)</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> </span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Roster and Travel</span></strong><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">This role requires regular travel throughout the region. You will also be required to work on a rostered schedule, which may include patterns such as 9 days on, 5 days off.
