Objective of job: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide strategic support to plant processes focused on the prevention/elimination of non-conformances through disciplined problem solving and continuous improvement activities.</li> </ul> Principal activities: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensure customer satisfaction by supporting production and delivery of conforming product to customer</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Supports as representative of Quality to ensure compliance with internal, external, and customer audits based on defined internal and external standards</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Monitoring of process and product characteristics to ensure conformity to defined standards and specifications</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Employing robust problem solving methodology focused on prevention/elimination of recurrence of non-conformances</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Implementing corrective actions and continuous monitoring of corrective actions effectiveness</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provide cross-functional support as representative from Quality Department with expertise in customer requirements (engineering changes, various projects, etc.)</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Communication with customer interfaces to support effective and timely response for various activities</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensures required inspections within the production process are conducted in accordance with control plan.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provides and/or maintains documentation per standards as required for all relevant quality related documents</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provides and/or maintains and regularly verifies reference / boundary samples within assigned area of responsibility</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Facilitates the problem solving process for non-conformities (identified internally or communicated by customer)</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Coordinates sorting and containment activities when necessary, conducts root cause analysis, and ensures corrective/preventative action implementation through interdepartmental cooperation</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Documents and communicates results and actions of problem solving process to required contacts and systems (internal or external)</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Participates in change management processes and/or projects as subject matter expert for quality specific elements (including testing, validation, documentation, etc.) in cooperation with change management and/or project team</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Establishes / maintains proper PPAP status and documentation for all assigned commodities by supporting the central PPAP coordinator in the timely submission of required PPAP's</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Participates in audits as required, including internal, external, and customer audits</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensures completion of product audits within assigned area of responsibility</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Leads, coaches, supervises and motivates direct reports to ensure proper training and performance based on existing processes, policies and targets</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensures proper function / maintenance / calibration / training as required of all quality equipment within assigned area of responsibility such as test equipment / fixtures / gages etc. in cooperation with involved departments / Quality Service group.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and/or products and actively participates in implementation of corrective actions to achieve improvements where applicable</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Reports necessary information at department or plant level for key performance indicators for assigned commodities</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Supports target achievement at individual, department, plant, and global level</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provides technical guidance to Quality team regarding day to day activities</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Provides technical guidance to organization regarding customer requirements</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Infrequent travel both domestic and international as required</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Off-shift work including weekends as required</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Performs any other tasks or assignments not listed within this job description as deemed necessary for the department / company as requested by the department manager</li> </ul> Job Requirements: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">3 to 5 years of experience in a complex manufacturing facility</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">2 to 5 years of experience in automotive (interiors prefered)</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong technical knowledge with Quality Methods</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica,
